Kerrville Weekly Rundown
Happy Father's Day…
to all the dads, grandpas, stepdads, and father figures helping raise the next generation of Kerrville kids. 🫶
I hope everyone’s weekend was filled with lots of quality time together.
Now let's get into this week's rundown. 👇
Kate’s Picks
Things to Do This Week
⭐️ Wednesday on a Budget: A Full Day for Less Than $20…
10-11 a.m. | FREE Art & Science Club at the Butt-Holdsworth Memorial Library
11:30 - 12:30 p.m. | Walk next door for Hands-On History at the Heart of the Hills Heritage Center ($7/ adult, $10 for 2+ adults/group, FREE for all kids)
12:30 - 2 p.m. | Grab a Little Caesars classic pepperoni pizza ($6.99 or $5 for a Large with their current special) OR pack a lunch and enjoy at the park behind the library.
🍕 - Order pizza on their app while wrapping up at the HHH so it’s ready for you as soon as your done. The $5 deal will pop on the screen. 😉
💲💲 - Other food options nearby to beat the heat instead of play & save: Cartwheels Cafe, Thai Ocha, & Pint & Plow.
Make it a full day and tag on:
2 p.m. | Head over to The Arcadia Live for their free screening of The Bad Guys
→ You could easily spend most of Wednesday engaging in downtown activities, enjoying lunch, catching a movie, and spend less than $20 for the whole family while your house stays clean at home. 🙌
Weekend pick: Concerts by the River Saturday | Louise Hays Park | Free Admission
Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and the whole family for an evening of live music along the Guadalupe River. This month's Concerts by the River features the Corey Weaver Band beginning at 7 p.m.
Food will be available for purchase from Shim's Be Blessed Catering, making it easy to grab dinner while enjoying the show.
Looking for something to do before the concert?
🌺 The Ridge Marketplace's Tropic Like It's Hot event where the kids can meet Moana & Maui & the 🤠 Museum of Western Art's Family Free Day are both happening earlier in the day.
🎬 Heads Up: Rio 10's Tuesday $3 movies, making it a budget-friendly way to catch the new Toy Story 5. Other family-friendly options include The Sheep Detectives, Star Wars: The Mandalorian & Grogu, and Masters of the Universe.

Texas Hill Country Family Guide sends a Wednesday roundup of upcoming regional Hill Country events so you can scan, decide & go. Subscribe here.
Coming this week on…
Texas Hill Country Family Guide
💦 Water Fun Roundup: I'll be sharing splash pads, pools, waterpark deals, day passes, staycation-worthy resorts, and a few hidden gems worth the drive.
🎬 Budget Friendly Movie Roundup: Free movies in the park, outdoor screenings, summer movie programs, brewery movie nights, and budget-friendly theater deals.
If Kerrville Family Guide is your shortcut to daily family life in Kerrville, Texas Hill Country Family Guide helps you explore everything beyond it, primarily through a weekend lens.
Unlike this newsletter, which takes a deeper dive into the community, reminders, and specific event highlights, Texas Hill Country Family Guide is a no-fluff roundup of family-friendly events for the upcoming weekend so you can scan, decide, and go.
It's still just one email every Wednesday, but throughout the year I'll occasionally include links to seasonal guides covering summer fun, fall festivals, holiday events, and more across Kerrville, Fredericksburg, Boerne, and surrounding communities. A regional birthday guide is in the works too. 🥳
